Why casinos verify you
KYC, short for "know your customer", is how a casino confirms that the account holder is a real adult, that the payment method belongs to them, and that the money isn't moving for someone else. Every casino we read reserves the right to ask for documents before paying out, and most ask on the first withdrawal.
What each casino asks for, and how long it says it takes
| Casino | Documents | When | Stated check time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Winz | ID; proof of address; proof of the payment method; possibly a phone or video call; source of funds for large amounts | Mandatory once your total withdrawals pass €2,000 or 7 BTC; can be asked earlier (FAQ, T&C) | "up to 24 hours" in busy times (FAQ); "within 30 working days" (KYC policy) |
| RocketPlay | Passport, ID card or driver's licence; proof of address no older than 90 days; proof of payment; photo of the bank card | Before the first withdrawal | "usually from one to 24 hours" (FAQ) |
| Vegas Now | Not listed; documents are uploaded on the profile's Documents page (FAQ) | "At any point in time" (T&C 7.1), and may be required before a withdrawal (T&C 9.2) | not stated |
| SkyCrown | Photo ID; proof of address issued within three months; proof of the payment method; possibly a phone call | Before any withdrawal, at the casino's discretion (T&C 11.2) | "up to 30 working days" (KYC Policy 5) |
| Woo Casino | Photo ID; proof of address; proof of the payment method; possibly a phone or video call | Before any withdrawal, at the casino's discretion (T&C 11.2) | "up to 30 working days" (KYC policy) |
| Avantgarde Casino | ID or passport (front and back); a recent utility bill; a copy of each card used; a signed Card Authorization Form | To approve the first pending withdrawal; documents are due within 30 days or the withdrawal is cancelled (T&C 5) | not stated |
The range is wide. RocketPlay says checks usually take one to 24 hours, and Winz's FAQ says up to 24 hours in busy times, although its KYC policy allows 30 working days; Winz makes checks mandatory once your withdrawals pass €2,000. Woo and SkyCrown give themselves up to 30 working days, which is six weeks. Vegas Now doesn't list the documents or give a time.
The documents to have ready
- Photo ID: passport, driver's licence or national ID card, both sides where there are two.
- Proof of address: a utility bill or bank statement with your name and address, usually no older than three months (90 days at RocketPlay).
- Proof of payment: a photo of the card you deposited with, showing only the first six and last four digits, or a screenshot of your e-wallet account.
- Extras some casinos ask for: a phone or video call (RocketPlay, SkyCrown, Woo) or a signed Card Authorization Form (Avantgarde).
Names and addresses must match your casino profile exactly. A bill in a partner's name or an old address is the most common reason a document gets sent back.
RocketPlay says document checks usually take one to 24 hours, one of the shortest times any casino here puts in writing.

Straight after sign-up, before your first deposit is played through. You can upload them from your account profile (Vegas Now, for example, has a Documents page for it), and the check can run while you play. If you wait until you request a withdrawal, the verification time is added to the processing time in the payout race.
Deadlines in the terms
Verification runs both ways: the casino sets you deadlines too. Woo, SkyCrown and RocketPlay can lock the account and cancel the withdrawal if they can't reach you within two weeks of the request. Avantgarde cancels a withdrawal if the documents aren't in within 30 days. Keep an eye on your email while a withdrawal is pending.
What not to do
Don't use someone else's card or account, and don't edit documents: a mismatch between your profile, your documents and your payment method is exactly what the check looks for. And don't look for "no verification" casinos: a casino that skips checks can still ask for them at the moment you try to withdraw.
